    Vision

    With a growth mindset, educators ignite joyful, confident, and competent mathematicians who are global stewards and transformational leaders by ensuring grade-level (and beyond) standards-aligned mathematical outcomes for each PPS student.
     
    Mission

    Centering our deep belief in Black, Native and Latinx students’ capacity to excel as mathematicians, we will align mathematical content and practices, to be evidence-based, effective and equitable. Through aligned pedagogy and core sequencing across all classrooms, we will create pathways that result in equitable learning outcomes throughout PPS, propelling students to succeed in high school mathematics and beyond. This ultimately contributes to the development of compassionate critical thinkers, who are able to collaborate and solve problems, and prepared to lead a more socially just world. (PPS Vision)

  • MidSchool Math LogoMidSchoolMath (MSM)

    MidSchoolMath is a comprehensive and robust curriculum that emphasizes building conceptual understanding as a foundation for different learners to access middle grades mathematics.  It does this by introducing every lesson in context, helping students relate real situations to the mathematical skills needed to find solutions to those situations. The curriculum focuses deeply on the standards – each lesson cycle covers a single standard, spanning an entire week. This allows time for instruction to dive deeply into each standard through a progression of learning each week.
