A little about me: I grew up in inner SE Portland and I am a PPS alumni. I am entering my 26th year of teaching grades 1, 4, 5 and 6. When I was little, I played “school” at home and was inspired by my teachers. It wasn’t until I was in college that my former 3rd grade teacher asked me to be an educational assistant in her classroom. I loved it and I was hooked. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Telecommunications and Film, I went back to get my teaching certification at Warner Pacific College.
In my spare time, I enjoy camping, gardening, kayaking, traveling and my full house of pets including two chiweenies (dachshund/chihuahua) named Reggie and Gwyn, a guinea pig named Gumi and a parakeet named Candy. I also enjoy cooking and entertaining. My daughter, also a PPS alumni, is just beginning her first year at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. This is a huge change for me especially in this time of uncertainty, but she is ready.
