A little about me:

I started my teaching career as a guest teacher in PPS, mostly filling in for Woodmere teachers, until I was given the opportunity to have my own classroom. I have been teaching for 12 years, including the past 7 years at Woodmere as a 2nd grade teacher. I have a love for learning, especially from my students, who bring new ideas, knowledge and wonderings into the classroom everyday. I always tell my students that I am not perfect, mistakes happen, but we have an opportunity to learn from them. The love of learning, working with children and my community is what led me to become a teacher.

I grew up in the Lent neighborhood next to Lents Park, not far from Woodmere. As a kid, I often rode my bike to Woodmere for softball practices several times a week. My favorite sport to play is softball, but I am a competitive person and enjoy playing a variety of sports like basketball, baseball as well as just throwing the football with my son or playing catch with my daughter. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, (my husband, daughter and son) watching our favorite sports on TV (Packers, Bucks, Blazers, Brewers, Mariners), going on bike rides or walks in our neighborhood and playing card games like UNO or board games like Sorry.
