A little bit about me:
Hi! I am Ms. Julia. I am the 3rd-5th grade Communication Behavior focus classroom teacher at Woodmere! I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and moved to Portland several years ago for college and I fell in love with this city. I graduated from Portland State University with my undergraduate degree in Special Education, and I am currently in graduate school for Curriculum and Instruction. Before becoming a teacher, I served as a caregiver for individuals with complex support needs, a counselor supervisor at Mt Hood Kiwanis Camp, and as a swim instructor for children and adults. I have a passion for Special Education and serving individuals with disabilities; it has been such a privilege being able to serve the Woodmere community!
When I am not in the classroom, you will most likely find me hiking to waterfalls, finding treasures at a local thrift store, riding my bike to a coffee shop, exploring a new restaurant, gardening, or trying a new recipe in my kitchen.
