A little about me:
Woodmere is such an exciting and outstanding place, I feel so grateful to be in our teaching community! I started my teaching journey in 2010 and have been a specialist in reading and English Language Development and a classroom teacher in both primary and upper elementary grades. One of my favorite joys of teaching is foundational reading and math skills, as well as project based learning. This year I will be starting PBL in math! Of course, we are always growing many different plants in the classroom at all times, learning how to propagate new plants, and I also have a stuffed animal mending clinic where I put my 25 years as a sewist to great use!
Outside of school:
Outside of school you can find my husband and me trying new restaurants, playing board games, or cooking together. We spend an inordinate amount of time trying to outwit two wonderful lap cats who also are very mischievous. I am learning new gardening techniques, and am often busy with my local quilt guild. I have lived in Portland since 1990 and this vibrant city always has new thrift shops, new book clubs, and new trails for my friends and I to enjoy.
